Who Inherited Ownership of Jackie O Letters in Dispute

Jackie OJackie Kennedy’s daughter, Caroline Kennedy, recently stopped an auction of letters her mother wrote to a priest. The priest left his property, including the letters, to a college when he died. The college planned to auction off the letters for roughly $4 million. Family attorneys intervened in the sale claiming that since Caroline owns her mother’s copyright and the letters were written by her mother, she owns the copyright to the letters.
