With job hopping on the rise, an accompanying trend is rolling 401ks into IRAs. There are generally three options for what to do with a 401k when leaving a job for another, including rolling the 401k into an IRA, rolling it into another 401k, and leaving the funds in the existing 401k. In deciding which option is best there are many factors to consider, such as age, employment status, and type of 401k.
