How the Family of Margaret Thatcher Avoided Millions in Inheritance Tax

Money houseMargaret Thatcher left a total of £4.7 million to her two children and her grandchildren, when she died April 2013. Not included in the estate was Thatcher’s home, which is valued at £12.5 million. The home is owned by an offshore trust, saving the family £5 million in inheritance taxes.
