Warning Signs of Scams


Here are some warning signs that an enticing investment is actually a scam:

  1. “Guaranteed” high returns
  2. Appeals to your race, religion, or social membership
  3. The stock went public in a reverse merger
  4. Claims of “breakthrough technology”
  5. It’s hard to find financial statements
  6. No explanations for the investment methodology
  7. Unknown auditors
  8. Unregistered long-running offers
  9. You need to “act now or else!”  
  10. Foreign addresses  
  11. No solid third-party information
  12. Too good to be true
