Constitutionality of Texas' Ban on Same-Sex Marriage Challenged

Rings The city of San Antonio is now the focus of the constitutional debate regarding the Texas' same-sex marriage ban. Orlando Garcia, U.S. District Judge, has not yet ruled on pre-trial motions to prevent Texas from enforcing its same-sex marriage ban. Nicole Dimetman, and spouse Cleo DeLeon as well as Vic Holmes and his life partner Mark Phariss have filed suit claiming that the ban violates equal protection. Garcia believes the lawsuit filed will wind up decided by the U.S. Supreme Court.
