Artist Paints with Cremated Remains

Rainbow-paint-splash

A Grandview artist puts a very personal touch on his client’s paintings.

Adam Brown is known for his portraits and knew he could leave grieving families with a lasting memory.  Brown uses cremated human remains sent to him by his clients that go into the background of his portraits.  Brown ships whatever isn’t used back to the clients.

Though odd, Brown says, “"I know for the people that have them, they love them, and it gives them that constant reminder that they can look at and smile and say, 'you know, that person meant a lot to me, and I'm glad I have that piece of art.’”
