U.S. to Recognize Utah Same-Sex Marriages


As I have previously discussed, the state of Utah announced it will not recognize the 1,300 same-sex marriages issued in the 17 days between the federal judge’s ruling and the U.S. Supreme Court injunction.

The Justice Department has announced that the federal government will recognize the marriages as lawful regardless of the state’s refusal.
