Will of Wolverhampton Man Found to Be Fake

Fake

Joseph Alan Bate, of Highfield Court, Wolverhampton, died intestate in 2008 with an estate worth over £60,000.  His neighbor, Daniel Ball, put together a fake will and submitted a probate application in 2010.  He was found guilty of conspiring to steal in July and will be sentenced this January.

Student Tufayl Ahmed signed the will as a witness using the false name, Thomas Head.  He admitted fraud and has been sentenced to 40 weeks in prison suspended for two years.
