As I have previously discussed, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie appealed a recent decision to allow gay couples to wed in New Jersey beginning October 21.
The New Jersey Supreme Court will allow Christie to skip an appeal at the appellate division and has scheduled oral arguments for January 6 and 7. These arguments would be heard a week before the January 14 deadline for lawmakers to override Governor Christie’s veto of a gay marriage bill.
