Financial adviser David Jeffs, 36, allegedly conned Mayfair socialite Roberto Troyan, 63, out of £343,000 and then murdered him after being found out.
Troyan began living an extravangant lifestyle after inheriting a significant amount of money following the death of his civil partner. After being employed to manage Troyan’s finances, Jeffs was given blank checks with Troyan’s signature, which he then spent on two Lotus sports cars, expensive restaurants, holidays, drugs, and strip clubs. After one of the checks bounced, Troyan was found dead of head injuries in his central London home.
