As I have previously discussed, a New Brunswick judge recently issued a temporary injunction on public policy grounds to prevent the estate of Robert McCorkell, and his valuable coin collection, from being sent out of province and into the hands of the neo-Nazi organization, the National Alliance.
B’nai Brith Canada and the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) have been permitted to intervene and will attempt to convince the court next month to quash McCorkell’s will so the estimated $250,000 estate will not be bequeathed to the National Alliance. General counsel for CIJA states that the National Alliance “is much weaker than it was in the past, and we don’t want to take any chances of money breathing new life into it.”
