Due to his failing health, 92-year old Mickey Rooney had to move out of his long-time home in Westlake Village and into the smaller residence of his stepson in the west San Fernando Valley. Yesterday, a probate judge approved the sale of the Westlake Village home.
Judge Reva Goetz ruled that Kapilack Investments LLC could buy the home for $1.03 million. The proceeds will be split between Rooney ($500,000) and his current wife, Janice Rooney ($525,000). Rooney's conservator reported that Rooney and his wife will be living apart, but they will not take any legal action to end the marriage.
