President Plans To Restore Veterans Cemetery

VeteransPresident Barack Obama signed into law a bill that would restore a veteran's cemetery located in the Philippines. The Clark Veterans Cemetery "is the final resting place of more than 8,300 American service members and their family." The cemetery was the site of a volcanic eruption in 1991 and an abandoned U.S. Air Force Base. After the eruption, the cemetery fell into disrepair due to neglect. According to Sea Coast Online, "[t]he cemetery was left covered in ash and overgrown by weeds." The new law hopes to change that.
