Shelby's Remains Are Laid to Rest

Court FightAs I have previously discussed, a dispute between the children and the wife of Carroll Shelby prevented the famous auto designer from being laid to rest. Now, the fight has come to end. Mr. Shelby was finally laid to rest on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 after his wife and children settled their differences. The children originally wanted to carry out their father's final wishes and have him cremated. His widow claimed that she had the right to make the decision about whether Shelby's body would be cremated or buried. Shelby's widow agreed to allow his body to be cremated but she agreed only on the condition that she would be allowed to keep some of the ashes. Shelby was laid to rest in his hometown of Leesburg, Texas.
