Orange County Attorney Accused of Stealing Money From Clients

UnknownPeter David Nitschke is an Orange County attorney charged with embezzling more than $720,000 from a client trust fund.  Peter helped two sisters with a sum of money their mother left them after she died because he was a friend of the women's family. The mother left the 65 and 69 year old sisters $675,000.

Prosecutors are charging him with stealing $675,000 and an additional $46,000 from a real estate transaction.  Peter then allegedly spent the money or hid it by moving it into other accounts.  Peter is now being held and his bail is set at $725,000.
