Two Women Set Record for World's Oldest Siblings
Dorothy Richards and Majorie Ruddle are the oldest siblings according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Richards is 108, and Ruddle is 105, making the two a combined 213 years, three months, and 27 days old. On June 8, the sisters had a tea party to celebrate their achievement.
The women live in separate nursing homes, so the tea party was really a chance to get the two women together. Ruddle was happy to see Dorothy after a long time apart. Edith Ritchie and Evelyn Middleton hold the record for oldest twins at 102.
