Social Media Wishes Can Be Limited By Rules of Each Website

Images-11Keep a record of your social media accounts so that loved ones can manage them or deactivate them according to your wishes. Your desires may be limited by what the social media site allows though. Facebook will allow people to set up a memorial page for you after your death, but Apple accounts end when you die, and Twitter only allows an executor or family member to deactivate your account.

See Melony Roy, New End-Of-Life Plan For Your Social Media Accounts, CBS News,  June 5, 2012.

Special thanks to Jim Hillhouse (Professional Legal Marketing (PLM, Inc.)) for bringing this article to my attention.
