Funeral Songs Modernized

Centennial_parkCentennial Park in Adelaide, Australia reports that popular songs are replacing religious songs at funerals.  Only two hymns remain in their top-ten list: Amazing Grace and Abide With Me.

The most popular songs are My Way sung by Frank Sinatra and Wonderful World sung by Louis Armstrong.

Other popular songs include Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven (this writer's choice for top song of all time) and, for those whose lives were not so virtuous, Highway to Hell by AC/DC.

Other interesting song choices include Another One Bites the Dust by Queen, Ding Dong the Witch is Dead of Wizard of Oz fame, I'll Sleep When I'm Dead by Bon Jovi, and Always Look on the Bright Side of Life by Monty Python.
