New Risks for Antipsychotics in Youth

The Times has details.  The lede:

A new government study published Monday has found that the medicines most often prescribed for schizophrenia in children and adolescents are no more effective than older, less expensive drugs and are more likely to cause some harmful side effects. The standards for treating the disorder should be changed to include some older medications that have fallen out of use, the study’s authors said.

The media picks up the headline. The article is not available for rebuttal by review and assessment of methods. This is not fair. Would appreciate the link to the article.

Because Prof. Childs has shown great courage in allowing fundamental dissent from the criminal cult enterprise methods of the lawyer profession, I am going to give him a gift when the article is available: tools to show peer reviewed, controlled studies in medicine are garbage. When his doctor friends mock the lawyer at parties, he can trot these out.
