Giant Drop Ride Manual

A manual for the Giant Drop ride at Kentucky Kingdom is here: Download intamingiant_drop.pdf

I'm not sure if that's the complete or current manual.  It has various updates along with what appears to be the main manual.

Of possible interest, the daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly maintenance does not seem to require inspection of the cables.  I expect that there is also a periodic replacement schedule not included in this manual, and that the cables' expected lifespan exceeds the replacement period, but that's speculation.

If the cable is supplied by a third party manufacturer, the Intamin manual would not specify the maintenance and inspection criteria for it. Those requirements would be contained in the cable manufacturer's manual.

If the cable is supplied by a third party manufacturer, then inspection and maintenance criteria would be supplied by that manufacturer's manual and not included in the Intamin manual. More than likely, Kentuck Kingdom has a separate document that combines all of the inspection and maintenance criteria from each of the manufacturers.

I suppose you may be right, but that begs the question of why the manual doesn't identify the specifications for replacement cables. Perhaps that's in the other document you speculate about as well.

Additionally, I imagine the air filters (for instance) are third-party products, but the manual specifies their replacement annually.
