Seventh Circuit on Fair Debt Collections Act
"We have consolidated for decision four intertwined cases that present nine questions under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 U.S.C. §§ 1692 et seq., several of which have engendered considerable controversy at the circuit level and even some circuit splits."
So begins an October 23 decision authored by Judge Posner, available here, and styled Every v. RJM Acquisitions Funding. It's an interesting read - surely not the last word, however.
