President's Chief of Staff Has Strong Ties to U.S. Chamber of Commerce

ProPublica reports that President Obama's new Chief of Staff, Bill Daley, is a JP MorganChase executive with strong ties to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.  From 2005-07 he co-chaired the Chamber's Commission on the Regulation of Capital Markets in the 21st Century that advocated, of course, for the deregulation of the markets.  He also publicly opposed the concept of an independent consumer financial protection agency.  ProPublica, Obama‚Äôs New Chief of Staff a Top Banker With Strong Chamber Ties
