FHFA Issues Subpoenas to Banks About Mortgage Securities

The Federal Housing Finance Agency issued 64 subpoenas to collect information about mortgage-backed securities issued by Wall St. banks that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac invested in during the housing boom, a first step toward possible litigation for fraud.  WSJ, U.S. Subpoenas Wall Street Banks on Mortgage Securities
