House Committee Seeks Documents on AIG from Fed Reserve

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform issued a subpoena to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, seeking documents related to the federal government's bailout of AIG and the controversial decision to make whole the counterparties on the bad bets on mortgage-related securities. Emails released last week by Representative Issa showed that attorneys for the Fed told AIG not to disclose the names in SEC filings.  WSJ, House Panel Subpoenas N.Y.
