SEC Will Consider New Risk Ratings for Mortgage Securities
The SEC will consider proposals to reform credit ratings agencies at its June 11 meeting, including a staff proposal to change the ratings for mortgage-related securities to include an S (for structured) or a V (for volatility) to rate the risk of default.
