Joe Torre and Performance-Based Pay
Was Joe Torre right to feel insulted by the Yankees' offer of a one-year contract that cut his base salary (from $7.5 million to $5 million) and replaced it with performance-based bonuses -- $1 million for each level of postseason play reached in 2008?
