Merrill Lynch Says It Has Adjusted Securities Values Backed by Subprime Mortgages
Merrill Lynch stated in an SEC filing that it has adjusted the value of securities backed by subprime mortgages and other assets, but provided no further details. Merrill is expected to report its third quarter results in October; other securities firms will report their results next week, as noted in a post earlier today.
