Cablevision and Dolans Near Buyout Deal

Cablevision and its controlling shareholders, the Dolan family, are reaching agreement to sell the company to the Dolans for about $10.5 billion in cash, or $36 per share.  In the past three years, a special committee of the board turned down several offers by the Dolans because the price was too low.  See NYTimes, Cablevision Nears Deal With Dolans; WSJ, Cablevision Nears Deal With Dolans
