Unholy Alliance?: Docs and Drug Companies
The New York Times has an excellent article today on the many connections between doctors and drug companies. See Article Here. Certainly, doctors who receive consulting and speaking fees from large drug companies do not invariably favor those companies, but full disclosure of such ties is probably a very good idea. The same is true for company supported scientific research. As in other contexts, it's good policy to follow the money trail.
