Volvo To Recall 42,000 Trucks in North America
AB Volvo said on Thursday that it is recalling 42,000 trucks in North America because of defective inlet pipes that could cause engine compartment fires. The recall of Volvo's VN and VHD models follows what the company said was "a number of cases of heat damage" in engine compartments becauseof inlet pipes that could crack or break. Two cases of fires have been reported, but there were no injuries, according to Volvo. The company will replace any damaged parts as well as installing a heat shield on all recalled trucks.
