Help for Nonprofits Hit by Mass IRS Revocation

Following up on my earlier posting regarding the IRS announcement that it has revoked the tax-exempt status of approximately 275,000 organizations for failure to file annual reports for three consecutive years, I have learned that the National Council of Nonprofits has created a very helpful website and related tip sheet to assist still active organizations caught up in this mass revocation to regain their exemption.

This is a much needed post for those organizations struggling with an unfair listing. Some have jet to be responded back for the IRS, a s to why there were selected and when will this erroneous situation be corrected. Not only are they coming into the Season", of major donor give-a-ways for the end of the years, but as well, pending are their yearly evens contributions and sponsorships. Which are harmfully being affected by this new status from the IRS.
We encourage everyone organization that was affected to stand-up and claim their rights and do follow-up on the [process require to correct their situation as advice on the above write-up of the Nonprofit Law Prof. Blog.
