While this was a wonderful speech, I was disappointed that it did not address the challenges of the majority of Indians who live off the reservation in urban, suburban and rural areas. Many are becoming the victims of a new Era of Off-Reservation Termination, not the engaged business era of economic development that was presented. Zero funding for off-reservation housing, dental care, day care, higher education facilities, elder care, legal aid, homelessness, suicide prevention, gang prevention, etc. is not enough. I do not think the Constitution meant to uphold government and ignore the needs of most of the people.
