Navajo President Disqualified in Re-election Bid
The Navajo Election Administration has disqualified Navajo Nation President Joe Shirley, Jr. as a candidate in the current presidential race. Shirley is seeking a third consecutive term which is a violation of the Navajo election law that limits presidents to two consecutive four-year terms. Shirley has vowed to appeal this ruling.
