Will NAGPRA work to force a return of the remains of Geronimo to the Gila Mountains?
Announced today, February 17, a lawsuit filed per the provisions of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act may force the relocation of the remains of the famous Indian leader Geronimo from Fort Sill, Oklahoma to what is now the Gila Wilderness area, traditional lands of the Apache.
