The Austin American Statesman has an article examining the SPAC phenomenon:  In a chilly IPO market, blank check companies are hot.  The piece addresses the potential problems with SPACs and discusses my paper Black Market Capital which examines some of the underlying forces driving demand for SPAC investments.
