Judge Convicts Former Nurse Of Aiding Suicide; Rejects Free Speech Defense

A Minnesota judge has ruled that a former nurse's "encouragement" of suicide amounted to "lethal advocacy" and has convicted a defendant of two counts of aiding suicide. Thomas Neuville will sentence William Melchert-Dinkel, who had argued that his online statements were protected free speech, in May. Mr. Melchert-Dinkel says he plans to appeal.
