Prosecutors Reach Plea Deal in Murder Trial of Man Suspected of Ordering Killing of Oakland Newspaper Editor
Prosecutors have reached a plea agreement with 21-year-old Devaughndre Broussard in the death of Oakland Post editor Chauncey Bailey, murdered in 2007. Mr. Broussand has agreed to plead guilty and to testify against Yusuf Bey IV, owner of a popular local bakery, whom prosecutors believe ordered the hit on Mr. Bailey. Mr. Bey is suspected of ordering other killings as well. Read more here in a CNN story.
