Author Jared Diamond Sued For Defamation
According to this Chronicle of Higher Education account, author Jared Diamond is being sued for defamation over a New Yorker article in which he discusses New Guinea clan warfare. Two Papua New Guinea tribesmen are now claiming that because of the article, they have suffered damage, and they've filed suit against Mr. Diamond and the New Yorker's publisher in a New York state court.
