Former Chicago Reporter Sues Rival Station

The reporter for a Chicago NBC affliate who ended up losing her job after a rival station aired footage of her in a bathing suit at the home of an interviewee has sued that station. Amy Jacobson, who says she was on her way to take her children swimming one day last year when she stopped off at Craig Stebic's house to ask him some questions about the disappearance of his wife, is now suing the station that captured her on videotape and subsequently aired the tape. The story made news all over the world. Ms. Jacobson eventually left her position as a WMAQ reporter, and she and her husband lost their home. Law & Order used the story as a jumping-off point for an episode this season (Submission, broadcast March 12, 2008).
