Canadian Law Students File Privacy Complaint Against Facebook
Some University of Ottawa law students have filed a complaint with the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, alleging that the social networking site Facebook violates the Canadian Personal Information and Protection Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) by collecting and sharing users' personal information with third parties without their consent.
