Eighth Circuit Reverses Decision of Trial Court As To Publisher in Steinbuch v. Cutler
The Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals has granted Robert Steinbuch's request for discovery on the issue of whether Hyperion Books, the publisher of Jessica Cutler's "sexually explicit novel", has sufficient minimum contacts with Arkansas to allow it to be sued in that state. Mr. Steinbuch is suing for invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The court affirmed dismissal of Mr. Steinbuch's lawsuit against the other defendants in the case.
