Writers Guild: Animation Films Not Covered by Strike

The Writers Guild of America has backed down from a position that would have prevented its members from working on animated films, and would have brought it into a clash with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE). Writers working on animated films, said the WGA, had to honor the WGA strike. But the Animation Guild, part of IATSE, did not see why its members should be put out of work.
