Iranian American Journalist Allowed to Leave; Charges Still Pending
Iran is allowing journalist Parnaz Azima to depart, a day after it permitted scholar Haleh Esfandiari to return to the U.S. after a lengthy period in custody. Both women, dual nationals, had been detained by the Iranian government on charges relating to national security. Charges against Ms. Azima remain "open." Read more here and here.
