Smoking To Be Considered In Ratings
Smoking will now be considered as part of the criteria when films get their ratings, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) has announced. The anti-smoking lobby has been asking for an automatic "R" rating if movies include a portrayal of smoking for some time; that won't happen, but the MPAA will take the image of smoking into consideration when it issues its ratings from now on.
