House Votes to Raise Fines For Indecency on the Airwaves
The House of Representatives today voted to raise fines to a maximum of $500,000 per incident as outlined in H. R. 310, the Broadcast Decency Enforcement Act of 2005. The vote was 389 to 38. The bipartisan bill has 67 co-sponsors.
