California Supreme Court Agrees to Hear Prop 8 Challenge
The California Supreme Court agreed to hear the challenges to proposition 8 on an expedited basis today. See the Equality California website for additional information: www.eqca.org.
However, the court denied a stay, which would have permitted same sex marriages to continue until the decision was issued. Thus, currently, same sex partners cannot obtain marriage licenses in California.
