from legal writing to lieutenant governor?!

Sheila Simon After 12 years as a legal writing professor at Southern Illinois University, Sheila Simon has been tapped to be the Democrat's nominee for Illinois Lieutenant Governor.  Shortly after the announcement, she took off on a whirlwind tour of the state.  Sheila is known in the legal writing community for her demonstration explaining how IRAC is like lasagna.  As one colleague noted, it's maybe not so far from making lasagna to the legislative process of making sausages.
