Popcorn Session on Getting Published
We have a new description for one of the popcorn sessions on Tuesday evening, July 15, 2008 at the summer conference of the Legal Writing Institute. Here it is:
A panel of experienced editors representing several major legal writing publications will discuss how you can
improve your chances for publishing an article. The panel of editors will also answer your questions and provide information about how to become involved as a participant on one of these outstanding journals. Publications to be represented in this popcorn session will include:
- The Journal of Legal Writing;
- The Journal of Appellate Practice and Process;
- Perspectives; and
- The Journal of the Association of Legal Writing Directors (JALWD).
Other journals may also be represented that evening. The session is intended to provide broad-based, informal advice about getting published in a variety of legal writing publications. That sounds like a good investment of time to me!
