Congratulations, Linda!

So here's the scoop:  Today at lunch during the LWI Board of Directors' retreat, Dean Daisy Hurst Floyd of Mercer University School of Law, announced that veteran legal writing professor Linda Edwards will soon be the holder of an endowed professorship.  If you'll be at the conference tomorrow, do be sure to congratulate Linda.  One more chair for legal writing!

saving money in atlanta

I will also note here that if you search the web for "atlanta coupons," you can save a few bucks with lots of downloadable coupons for restaurants, admissions fees, etc.

There may not be too much demand by conference-goers for carpet cleaning though . . .

Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?

the concluding lines of "The Summer Day" by Mary Oliver (the complete poem and more can be found at the Allspirit website)
