visiting position in Arkansas

The University of Arkansas School of Law (Fayetteville) is seeking teachers interested in joining its Legal Research and Writing program as a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor for the 2006-07 academic year.

The Legal Research and Writing program covers three semesters, carries seven graded credits, and is taught by five full-time faculty members. LRW I focuses on analysis and objective writing; LRW II on appellate brief writing and oral advocacy, including a moot court component. LRW III is a required second year course which includes drafting of client letters, pleadings, a non-litigation document and a trial level memorandum. Appointment is for a nine month term (August - May).

Applicants should have a strong academic record, law practice experience, and a demonstrated interest in teaching legal research and writing. 3. The school anticipates paying an annual academic year base salary in the range $50,000 to $59,999.
